ABOUT

Nurul · ChuaCrime

I live at Blk 347 Bukit Batok Street 34, #02-96 — close enough to West Mall that my grocery list and my bus card share the same pocket. ChuaCrime is where I tally what the week leaves behind: not headlines, but cups, steps, queues, pots, seconds. I work in admin at a clinic, which means I am good at forms and bad at letting small things go unrecorded.

The name came from counting — chua as in the Hokkien word for to tally or check off, and the second half from one English word I heard once on a May evening that I refused to let define the rest of my ordinary days. This blog covers the list, not the siren.

I am not a photographer, though the pictures here are mine, taken on walks between errands. I am not a historian. I am someone who notices when a queue reorders itself or when a neighbour's watering can appears on the same step every Thursday. This site is a personal notebook, not a news outlet or consultancy. Entries reflect how things looked to me when I wrote them. They are not instructions, endorsements or professional guidance. I write about shared spaces with respect for the people who use them. Corrections are welcome.

If you want to reach me, use the contact form or write to [email protected]. I read everything. I reply when I can, usually after the kettle has boiled and the corridor has gone quiet.
